At Electric Motor Shop, we are dedicated to achieving and maintaining a “leadership position” in every market we serve. To meet this ambitious objective, we have assembled an incomparable array of technologies, state-of-the-art equipment and over sixty highly trained, multi-disciplined technicians, engineers, mechanics, winders, and support personnel to support our client’s needs.

Engineering

Is your need electrical engineering support? Electric Motor Shop has the engineering capabilities and expertise to design and build new control panels, or retrofit old ones; repair AC/DC drives, soft starters, PLC’s, switch drives, or servo and switch gears. Our depth of engineering expertise also enables us to provide complete automation design, retrofit, or upgrade services, as well as PLC, LABVIEW, and graphical software programming.

Repair and Fabrication

Among the largest and most complete in-house machine shops of their kind on the East Coast, our Wake Forest and Rocky Mount facilities are equipped to provide a complete range of repair and fabrication services. A “single source” provider, EMS does 99% of all machine work in-house.

Pick-up and Delivery

Rapid response is a central tenant of Electric Motor Shop’s mission of providing superior customer service. To that end, we have assembled a large fleet of trucks for the pick-up and delivery of motors, control panels, drives and hoists at our customer’s facility. Our 20-plus fleet of vehicles includes a 40 foot, 80,000 pound GVAW lowboy and a 24 foot Mack® with a 10,000 pound GVAW.

Facilities

Committed to better serving our customers, increasing our capabilities and extending our geographic coverage within the Southeast region, we have completed a major expansion of our Wake Forest, NC facility. This new 20,000 square foot facility, along with our additional equipment acquisitions has enabled EMS to handle larger motors and further enhance the efficiency of workflow.
